I noticed something strange with the “Tap to report” feature in Waze.
On my friend’s iPhone (running iOS 18.1), the option is available and working fine. However, on my device (running iOS 26.2), the feature is completely missing from the Voice & sound settings.
We are both:
Using the same latest Waze version (v5.17.1.0)
Using iPhones
I even double-checked the settings and the option simply doesn’t appear on my device while it does on theirs.
Feature roll outs in Waze are often staggered, so even users of the same version may not see the exact same features. This is to allow HQ to monitor for bugs/crashes as a result of the new features.
Additionally, the new Conversational Reporting features in the report menu may depend on the user’s selection of voice. Be sure to select a language with road name support (text-to-speech). Additionally, it may depend on the voice language too. I know at least English, French, Spanish, Hebrew, and Portuguese are currently supported.
