Not new to Waze, but new to The Forum. What does UR mean?
The UR is the update request you see on the Map when you turn on the update request layer. In the mobile app it is the map issue button that you use to report a map problem. I do not know why they did not use the same wording.

And editors often referred to them as User Reports instead of Update Requests. FYI.
So I was circling back to this post and wondering what are our current thoughts about a Map Raid or UR sweep. We made some great progress to bring the numbers down with the self organized raid by rfrsw101) but we have gotten a little stagnant with our progress and I know NYC could use some TLC.
Is a map raid still a possibility with maybe some place updates as a secondary agenda. As we wind down the state map raids for speed limits (great job Vermont and go New Hampshire) it be nice to circle back to NY sometime soon and help get things touched up a bit.
Also probably be a map raid that could be opened to a broader editing rank and with the activities with the NY state bootcamp to be nice to engage some of these editors in the same area.
Thoughts?

I need to talk to local SMs and champs in NY first. But, the raid should be boro by boro. I think it should be limited to USA editors with certain rank and up. That’s was the key for the success for the VT MR.
But of course with that large of a densely populated area a more focused approach is needed. There maybe some need in NJ as well.
That definitely allowed for an easy to set up and mostly self sufficient raid, but I would just advocate that If we are restricting by rank to have some allowance for the the local established editors who participate in the NY bootcamp.

I don’t know if this has been tried, but maybe we could a state wide focused raid. What I mean is allow the active Editors in the associated state access to a boro and let them have at it. Most of the NY Editors are exposed to the quirk’s of NYC so I don’t think that would be a problem. And if it works out then do the same each boro one at a time…

I’m definitely in favor of the idea. And we definitely have some leftover stuff from the last raid to get back to… it’s a never-ending list with NYC lol…
This post is fairly old and abandoned. Are we interested in reviving it, or should I lock it and drop it to a standard topic?

I think that this thread can be closed and if more discussion is needed we can open a new one.
Orbit is now working on some new standards and seeing how that goes before changing the New Your ones.
