Last trip we took in unfamiliar area we relied on Waze. We found that the upcoming turn directions were for a local street name and did not also callout the SR or US Route numbers. I sent a map issue in and Subs5(5) replied the Route numbers are the Alt name. Is there a way to show both on the turn directions?
I’m not aware of a way to do that. but I’ll paste a link below that is a good resource for finding answers to such questions.
I will add that I think waze gives you local street names since those are what you should see on street signage.

Depending on where and what type of intersection you’re speaking of, there might be - but it’s very specific to certain situations and road types. Could you please post a permalink or give more information to where you speak of?
Traveling on US 250 onto VA SR-6 says Crtizer Rd and does not mention SR-6. Signage is SR-6. Later it joins another SR then SR-6 takes a turn and Waze says River Rd again no mention of SR-6. Then it intersects US-29 and says to turn on Thomas Nelson hwy again no mention of US 29 and the signage has no street name just the route.
