I can’t even get into the app anymore. I try to open it and this infuriating ‘uh oh’ comes up. I am not a technical person. How can I just return to the last android version before the update messed everything up? Thank you!
I am in Atlanta too, and I find some days I can’t get on the routing server for hours , and yet, yesterday I made several trips and it worked perfectly every time.
My wife and I use 3.7.7 on our iPhone 3S. We got this error a few hours ago trying to navigate to multiple places in Sandwich, NH from Rhode Island, but we could route to our home in Rhode Island fine.
Just a note… waze will fail routing if it doesn’t know how to get you where your navigating to. Its not necessarily a communication error, it could also be the destination isn’t properly mapped.
I usually get a different error message when there is some error that prevents a route from being calculated, like “Routing server internal error.” Seems to me that the failure to communicate message does indicate a communications problem.
All day for a variety of routes, even ones that I’ve used hundreds of times already. My iPhone’s Maps.app works just fine and other internet apps work OK. My friend’s Waze is doing the same.
I live in Hawaii (on Oahu) and use the navigation every day. I started getting this message 2 days ago. I use an iPhone 4s and haven’t had any problems until now. There are have been no recent updates and nothing has changed. I cannot get the navigation to work at all and is very frustrating. Does anyone know why this happened and how do you get it to work again?
I’m in the same boot as lmbm89, but I’m on the Big Island rather than Oahu. I’ve been over a large part of the island today, tried rebooting phone, etc. if any of those details matter. I’m on Verizon and using a S3.
I tried to find a way to send this issue directly to “support” but couldn’t find the option.
I am traveling in Puerto Rico and the past few days have been unable to use Waze due to “Failed to communicate with routing server”. I’ll keep using iMaps until someone helps me solve this problem … no skin off my nose.
I get the error message on my BlackBerry Z10. It’s version 3.6.0.0.
It’s frustrating and disappointing that a Google owned product is so unreliable and useless. I guess when you get as massive a company as Google is, customer service is not important.
I had to remove all the passes. Go to settings, navigation and click on Add Toll/HOV Passes and makes sure you Remove all the passes that you had added. This issue started after we received an upgrade offer to add toll passes
