Is anyone else having trouble editing the wiki? It doesn’t seem willing to let me in to edit my community’s pages anymore. This must be a relatively new problem, as I was able to edit a couple of days back. Several other members of my community are having the same problems. The problem would therefore seem to be on Waze’s side.
So far, I’ve tried purging cookies, working from an incognito window and changing browsers (Firefox and Chrome). All to no avail.
Staff may have intentionally locked this down for the time being.
That’s a possibility. And what could be the reason for staff to block me from editing the wiki?
Wiki evolving
Evolving? How? And why was nobody informed? I checked with my friendly neighbourhood global champ, but he was unaware as well.
(Btw, you might want to consider changing the bit in your signature about it all being a friendly service. I felt I was being trolled until I realised it was just your signature. )
I just logged in to edit Wazeopedia and found no issue logging in or saving my edit to a template page in the USA wiki. I’m unclear why any other pages or editors would be restricted currently.

The Dev team is proposing changes to Wazeopedia, but I had not heard they have locked it down at this time.
@DownPeriscope
On october 10 there was a call scheduled (for october 27) to introduce some changes to the wazeopedia. Your FNGC was most probably invited.
Cheers.
Hey @DownPeriscope,
The Wazeopedia is open for editing as normal.

Can you please send me the wiki article you are trying to edit?
-
What error you are getting?
-
Are you logged in?
Thank you,
Shira
Thank you, Rafa. I’m in close contact with my FNGC. If any of them would’ve been able to understand or explain the problem, I wouldn’t have posted here.
Thanks for asking, @shirapashu. The page is irrelevant, I can’t edit any of them anymore, but if you must know, I wanted to edit this page https://www.waze.com/wiki/Germany/Geschwindigkeiten_und_Tempolimits when I found out I couldn’t. I edited the page some days ago, it’s part of an ongoing project to update our Wiki.
I’m logged in, but I get a page that looks a bit garbled and (i.a.) doesn’t show the pen symbol to enter editing mode. As I said, I tried clearing cookies,
starting from an incognito browser window and changing browsers (Chrome and Firefox). Nothing helped.
I’ve consulted with several fellow editors, and we found no explanation for the current problems. Various colleagues have no difficulties editing the wiki. For instance, @Cha-oZ (Level 4), @MarcelMengedoht (Level 6), and @endradon (Level 5) can edit without fail. On the other hand, @pox_online, a L6 local champ, was unable to edit the wiki for the same reasons I (Level 5) seem to be locked out. We can think of no explanation for this difference between editors. It doesn’t seem to be anything to do with rank or previous behaviour.
I’d like to get on with our project and help out with updating the wiki. I was hoping you (or anyone here) could offer a solution.
Thank you, @shirapashu!
Just in case it helps in your search to expand the group: It has been brought to my attention that @PFMLB and @Dancingman81 are also experiencing the same problems @pox_online and I have when we try to edit the Wiki. Both are State Managers and L4 / L5 Editors respectively. They, too, should be able to edit the Wiki.
Thank you for the feedback.
Will keep you posted shortly,
Shira
Sure I can, @shirapashu! As the exact page is irrelevant (all have the same deviant look), I’ll just attach a screenshot of our main page. Please let me know if this helps and - if it doesn’t - what I could do instead to further our search for a solution.
Graet, thank you!
