Unlock please

Can someone unlock these segments please.

Done.

Thank you kindly…

A few things here. (Coming over all bossy). Please make sure you put the location in the unlock request title and a reason why it needs unlocking, sometimes locks are there for a good reason which only a local editor will know about. I’m sure the following were what you were about to do!

You should change the St Dunstans to St. Dunstans to keep in with the text to speech (when/if it works). There are a lot of other Saints here, being Canterbury.

Linden Chase is not spelt correctly.

You could add end nodes to the few segments missing them and remove quite a bit of reverse connectivity on the main roads.

Boss off.

Please let me know if you need help.

PS there is a new subforum for uk unlock requests.

+1 to that. It’s a common problem and worth highlighting.

I was just clearing off a map problem, the segments were one way with user drives going both ways.

I normally do put that info but I was working at the same time, so kept it short and sweet.

When I get to that area completely then I will indeed fix those issues, but like I said I just noticed the map problem and thought that was a more urgent

Working at the same time as Wazing? Get your priorities right!

Is this working yet though, I had to rename a local street recently and it was coming out Street Vincents Road.

We’re taking this forward with Waze. It will do. Soon. Hopefully.

Oh. Well if it doesn’t actually work, shouldn’t we be using "Saint Dunstans … "?

Not yet. But things may get that desperate.

Seems they made it worse. Just saw s post on Facebook saying street it’s being produced as saint lol

No, only “St” is being pronounced “Saint”. Not “Street”, yet.

yeah that’s what I meant, but my phone didn’t like me saying st

That’s ok then! You confused a few people! Even waze couldn’t get Street pronounced as Saint.

Could they?

Speaking of which is there somewhere we can report invalid pronunciations, (hijacking my own thread here)

One of my common annoyances is Fawkham (fork-em) being pronounced as (fake-em)

‘fork-em’ could be dodgy with the wrong accent…

I can imagine there may be reluctance at Waze to alter the TTS for Saint. There must be loads of streets worldwide that have been wrongly abbreviated to “St.”, and the consequences of getting those wrong could be far greater than the Saints.
