Waze crashed in the same spots in Iphone 15 Pro

I use Waze everyday to go to work and back. Every day there are the same 5 spots where my Waze map freezes, on a 25km trip one way. The audio is still up to date but the image is not updating. I have noticed that some times this happens when the map zooms on the road. This happens when is connected to Carplay or not.
I am currently using Waze on an Iphone 15 PRO with the latest software 26.1.

I am have tried to disconnect it from the car (use it without carplay), I have tried to use it connected to my car via Bluetooth, I have tried to use it connected to my car via USB cable and every time I get the same annoying freeze.

Here are some steps you can try to see if this fixes your issues in the future.

In Waze:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Map Display
  3. Turn OFF:
  • Auto Zoom
  • Zoom on Turns
  • 3D View / Perspective (if enabled)
  1. Set the map to a fixed zoom level

This reduces GPU redraws — which is when your freezes are happening.
