Waze iOS app not connecting today (4s, Verizon, 3G)

Waze app will not connect to the servers today. I can login to my account online at waze.com
SF Bay area region.

This means :frowning: no wazability. Useless today.
What’s up?
On my end have all updates, latest iOS, and hard rebooted the phone just to make sure it’s not on my end.

Tried signing on at 7:10AM, and repeated attempts until about 8:00AM PST.
nothing but “searching for network”

thanks!

Waze has been ‘suffering’ from too many new Wazers since the release of Waze 3.2 last week. It’s possible that they are having capacity issues in your area, especially since there are a LOT of Wazers in the Bay Area. But more than likely it could be an issue with your iPhone.

I would recommend a hard reset of your iPhone to see if that helps:

I saw the same problem this morning. “No network connection” AT&T. This appears to me to be on the server side.

What area are you Wazing in? Waze implemented redundant routing servers late in 2011. According to them this should not happen.

No problem Wazing in San Diego this morning.

Seeing this in the Denver area on AT&T, a reset of the iphone handset didn’t fix the problem.

And, of course, by the time I got to the office and posted this, it started working.

I havent been able to get Waze to work today in Columbus, OH. Verizon Droid Bionic, 4G LTE, No Root. I have removed cache, all data, uninstalled and reinstalled. It just says Follow Route but there is no route available.

It’s reassuring to finally see this thread. Waze has been absolutely useless to me today since around 1400 UTC. Of course this happens in the middle of a long drive. Deleted and reinstalled twice–no change. Ran in debug mode–logs failed to send. Tiles won’t load, can’t navigate to anything, can’t report anything. 5 bars AT&T, and in areas it’s connected successfully before. It’s not an issue with my iPad.

Oddly it worked fine for 2 hours previous.

Now at home on wifi, it still won’t load tiles from where I was earlier.

The mice are playing while the Israel office cats are away.

So it seems that we should use the form that Waze has previously provided to report Routing Server Timeouts. Now to find the link to the form…

Report your issues here:

Hopefully Waze is paying attention to reports that are being made on their weekend…

Was Wazing in SF Bay Area. Error was correct by PM drive.
