Waze not working on Sprint Hero running 2.2

I have a Sprint Hero, running CyanogenMod-6 (Froyo) and am having issues with Waze. It starts just fine, and for about 30 seconds it works, but then it seems to lose me and it freezes my location and speed. It will jump back to running correctly a few times, then it stops updating the speed and my car becomes the cross hairs off road.

The app responds to menus and touches, though, so it’s not completely locked. If I do a My Location, it puts my car at the location before it locked my speed.

I miss my Waze, and am moving down in ranks since I can no longer use it.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

This is a known issue with Waze on Froyo - you’re not alone. Actually most of us have been suffering from reboots rather than just hanging, so you’re lucky! :wink: The bulk of the discussion about it is buried in an old beta thread here:

The guys have been working on the issue, and I think they’re close to finding a resolution. There will be a new beta when they’re done.
