The Links dual carriageway from the Briar Dene to the Caravan Park is now 30 mph (was 40mph) and thus also the approach road to St Mary’s Lighthouse.

Have you got the permalinks for the segments that need changing please as GSV still has that area as 40

I dont understand the 60?? For certain the whole Links from the Caravan park on blyth road , the seafront, into whitley bay is now 30mph ; changed just a few days ago after a couple of fatal accidents near the Briar Dene pub.

This is GSV and it shows the 60 zone starting around the corner, if you could click the green tick if you happy with the changes

Google map is June 2012. You can see the 40 speed sign. It has changed to 30mph and the sign has been moved up the road (west) about 50 yards, just beyond the entrance to the caravan park.

There are also new speed cam signs on links. Saw cop with radar gun there on wednesday.

Thats fine, the image i was working from was June 2016 so it its moved now then the 60/30 change over is in the correct place

I think I see whats going on. I was able to change the speed on that little section by the caravan park, but could not on the Links dual carriageway

I just drove on the section Links and Blyth Road. Waze is still showing the old 40mph speed limit. The wme shows correct 30mph.
Is there some delay before it comes into effect?
