I would suggest that we set all our edits to the map until we get an official version of the message for us is a new version. Find it sad that no one is taking care of us and as long as I do not Waze can use right I’ll put my work still.

That’s it… very boring I know. I had to do a hard reset on the phone twice right after I purchased it, due to bad registry “tweak” suggestions I tried via XDA-Developers that screwed things up.
The only registry tweaks still in place are the ones that open up a few additional camera modes.
I also tend to run with WiFi turned off as I found it caused Google Maps to freeze frequently.

Unfortunately, as most users are iPhone, Android and Symbian (in that order) and WinMo is the least used platform, it is obviously delayed, though we do not want to ignore it all together or abandon it. Overall we plan to upgrade all devices to same level from time to time, Windows Mobile included, but it does take time to upgrade each OS version with the additions. We want to increase the user base, so part of the focus goes to Blackberry where we have not yet made a version.
The 1.5 is the current version for the Symbian, WinMo and Android but we will upgrade them to a higher version.
OK caught that loud and clear… Thanks for the update, but why does it take so long just to get feedback? Why send a tweet out before updating here? I understand we are all busy folks, and may not be the only job. I do appreciate the work you guys have put in, But I for one feel the draft of the void…
P.S. Android is way past 1.5 as it is sitting at least at ver 1.7.2.0 and now 1.7.2.2 as of today… Please as Mods I hope we can count on timely, and accurate information from you. I am pretty sure WinMo is the only 1.5 ver unless Sym ver was released as I typed this.
1.5 for Symbian? If I go to m.waze.com it downloads v1.4.3.8, at least for my touch device.
Running the latest beta on a stock T-Mobile HD2. Had to install KeepAwake to stop the lock screen from popping up while driving and locking up Waze something awful
2D mode works great, but the navigation display doesn’t fit correctly on the screen in landscape (green bar starts behind the turn indicator, and doesn’t stretch all the way across the screen).
3D mode runs like an absolute pig. Becomes unusable pretty quickly.
I’m really hoping that if there is an update for the WinMo devices that it includes a better polling solution then the one used in 1.5.2.5 because this one sucks. During my commute I go in and out of coverage and Waze basically doesn’t have network connectivity from the first drop to when I get home where I have to wait a little while for it to poll the tower. On the way to work seems a little better but it still doesn’t have connectivity for long distances even though I’m getting data feed. So please add the polling frequency to the list of fixes. Thanks!

Thank you for the information I have been missing for some time. I had already mentioned the number of user might be the reason. Nothing I can do at the moment, the few people I know having PDAs all are using Windows mobile (using them for business like me). Everybody has to look at his priorities as waze has to do also. For now I have restricted my activities for waze to driving with waze from time to time and only look at the map when errors directly catch my eye… wazers opportunity to enter the Top10 :lol:

I don’t really understand the Version numbering. Last WM version now is 1.8.0.0 but is missing features already incorporated in version 1.7.x iphone/android, e. g. scoreboard (or have I missed the feature, haven’t found it in 1.8.0.0 WM WVGA version).

Indeed this came out a bit confusing to us as well.
Because we decided to simplify some features dusplay presentation and moved them to be web based display (score board being an example), they were not integrated it into the 1.8 Windows line. So while they existed in the 1.7 line, since we changed them they did not make it in time to the 1.8 Windows.
Question for ya… Would it be possible to release the minor updates too so maybe some of us who have not been very lucky avoiding the crash may find stability with one of those??? I for one enjoy waze and would try them all, and would love to move up to a wvga version.
any more updates?? it seems as if the windows version is getting the cold shoulder when it comes to this app…
I think we had to wait 2.5 months for the last update. I wouldn’t hold my breath.
