Steps to reproduce this issue:
Hi,
we were used to WME being closely integrated with TTS engine including the exceptions handled via TTS google sheet - like this one here for Czech: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EuWAJkuRn4fonh4MP69SwX6WLgKShr3VcvbHTZiV_AM/edit?gid=1275761596#gid=1275761596
But now for some recently implemented TTS changes the WME keeps ignoring them even though they are correctly pronounced in the mobile app.
For example streets named “K. V. Raise” are still read in WME as “Q reiz” despite pronunciation fix in the google spreadsheet (that already made it to the live app).
Can this be fixed? Thanks!

Thank you for flagging this issue. I have raised an internal ticket to look into it, and will keep you posted on the progress. I have also requested access to the spreadsheet.
I checked this in the app and it’s pronounced as ‘kve’ (or similar) - I assume this is how it should sound, correct?

Ah, sorry I did not specify the correct pronunciation.
It should be read as “Karla Václava Raise”.
The abbreviated form “K. V. Raise” is often used in official written names of the streets, but it is never pronounced this way, we always use the full form.
Once you get access to the spreadsheet you will see a rule for this specific street name:
While we could theoretically change the street name to its full form, it is not correct because it does not match the official street name and we want to be exact in both written and spoken way.

Thank you for the clarification.
You mentioned that this is correctly pronounced in the mobile app, but as I checked, the mobile app is using the abbreviated form—‘kve’ instead of the full form. Is the result different on your side?

Hi Olesya, that was reported to me by a fellow-wazer but let me check with him again to make sure I understood well.
Is there a way for me to test it in the app myself? I guess that would involve some gps spoofing and that might show me as a cheater which I do not want to be

I checked this with a simulator and I used the Check TTS voice Eliška with ‘Normal’ spoken directions. Maybe there is something else that I should set up differently. Please let me know once you hear back from the fellow wazer, I’ll be happy to assist with this further.

I have rechecked this and Eliška still uses the abbreviated version. There hasn’t been an update from the team yet, but I’ll let you know once I have any news. I’m also looking forward to hearing from the reporter.
