I have stayed with this hotel about 10 times. I stay cause my pup can travel with me without question. We are dual residents with California and Arizona due to being military members. I showed my ID and was charged an extra 250$ because I was considered “local” and then told the only way to receive my money back is to allow them to fully inspect my room. Kinda feels like I am being held hostage to stay in my home town for 1-2 nights visiting family. I would be fine if all patrons at this location were required to have an “incidental fee” tacked on in the event a towel ran away or someone really beat the room up. But, I feel discriminated Against because I am a military members that is legally allowed to hold a drivers license from my home of residence, but I don’t live here everyday. The management was rude, and didn’t want to refund the money even though I showed them multiple id’s. I would recommend if there is going to be a “verbal policy” the owner of the location take the time to put it on paper so that people that stay know why they are getting charged so much for being “local”. The pool also has way too much chlorine, you could be just sitting by the pool and your eyes burn. They no longer have a grab and go breakfast, no coffee for those that don’t wanna brew the cheep stuff in their room. I would expect to be treated better as I am a returning patron, and a military member.
