As I sit here watching my son in the biggest fight of his life with this Leukemia I am reminded how precious life is. We have cried some we have laughed some and we have prayed a lot. William's pain level is maxed out because of the side effects of kemo and he is suffering badly. I just want to give a Huge and Humble Thank You to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for the wonderful care they have given my son and our family since we have been here. Their understanding and compassion are top notch on the oncology floor of the hospital. It is the 12th floor of the east wing, The penthouse, as we like to call it. I have never met more dedicated care givers from the doctors, to those who sweep the floors we thank you.
I have been a UT fan for 38 years. I usually say I bleed orange when asked about my football loyalties. However, I must now admit without a shadow of a doubt, these Superhero's have earned there capes! They "give their all for Tennessee" Everyday! They are amazing people saving the lives of others. May you all be blessed and rewarded for the good you do!
