Re: Closure: Various Cork City centre roads Topic is solved
There are "Road Closed" signs in place at the end of the streets; I don't know what local access arrangements are in place. Lock them up in the interim if you like as it's not the kind of street you'd like to be routed down anyway

Re: Closure: Various Cork City centre roads Topic is solved
Thanks, David. Looking at Cork City's other closure page (why do they have two?) they seem to expect that works should be completed by then. DrawbridgeSt/Perry St are full closure; Devonshire St W & Millerd St are restricted parking as they're doing the footpaths so they should be safe enough.

Closure: Various Cork City centre roads Topic is solved
Various road closures are in place in Cork City to facilitate works. Looks like they've actually been closed for a fortnight and will be closed for another week or two. http://www.corkcity.ie/services/roadstransportation/transportationdivision/transportforcorkcity/currentworks/ Drawbridge St & P...

Re: Speed/Red light cameras
Thanks David, Unfortunately, I don't know of any larger countries that have a similar system that might give us more clout with Waze for coming up with a solution. I seem to remember getting speed camera zone warnings with a speed limit sign when I travelled in the UK earlier in the year. They have ...

Re: Speed/Red light cameras
Is there any way of implimenting the speed/safety camera zones in this country? There is a KMZ file on the Garda website; can Waze HQ add it to give a standard camera zone warning when entering? I'm sick of deleting cameras which have been placed by well-meaning reports of a GoSafe van or those &quo...

Re: Ability to enter vehicle max speed
This is definitely worth doing especially as the ETA is greatly affected by the difference between max motorway/freeway speeds and speed limited vehicles. Here in Ireland the speed limit for large trucks on motorways is 90 km/h vs 120 for cars and it's 80 vs 100 on national and some regional roads. ...

Re: new 30km/h speed limits
These are starting to crop up in Cork now too. Cork City recently introduced a few: http://www.corkcity.ie/news/publicnotices2017/Notice_of_ProposaltomakeCorkCityRoadTrafficSpecialSpeedLimitBye_Laws2017.12.5.pdf I didn't realise that Cork County's had them in its bye-laws for nearly two years! Haven...
