Re: Claim and Edit Business Locations
Hi Ken! So Waze doesn't have the ability for owners to "claim" a location (Place) in Waze, but any user can submit edits for Places in their area (where they have driven with the app recently). Once the community receives the Place update request, they'll review it as time allows. As j...

Re: Connecting with DC 311 to Improve Pothole fixes?
At one point, they were, though I don’t know if the DOT still has that up and running.
The DOT became a Waze Partner and accessed the data via a Waze Feed, and plumbed it straight into the 311 system. It was part of pot-hole palooza or something.

Re: Special permissions for "verified" law enforcement?
See also my reply to the recent inquiry on Reddit : Any user’s reports are subject to the user’s own reputation score, which is based on that user’s report history. New users have no score, and so their reports are not visible by anyone. Users who spam reports have a poor score, due to the constant ...

GPS Layer Non-Functional (& other stuff too) Topic is solved
I just posted the following bug to the WMEb forum . But as non-beta users may be impacted, feel free to share your experience in this public thread. In the past ~18 hours, since about 5pm ET Thursday, the GPS layer has failed to load. Reproducible by many users without userscripts. No errors in ...

Re: [Script] WME Diffinator
cc from github:
Just tried using the script for the first time in a while, and it did not load at the top of the left pane when two segments were selected. Not sure how long its been this way. Tested on vanilla chrome, with no other userscripts enabled.

Re: Upcoming ETA Experiments in US Routing for Thanksgiving
I will check on the Planned Drives impact, but I don't believe that will be affected. Bummer. That would be a killer PR push for holiday travel in the future: "based on last year's Thanksgiving travel data, use Waze Planned Drives to find the best time/route for your origin/destination&quo...

Re: Upcoming ETA Experiments in US Routing for Thanksgiving
Thanks for the heads up! I hope this does a great job capturing/predicting the getaway traffic that I ALWAYS get stuck in. As a pile on, does this experiment extend to the Planned Drive's feature? Also, is there any visual indicator for users (beta or prod) to see if their route is using the custom...

Re: Route error: Closed Intersection! Near Watson exit I29
Thanks for posting this error. I did some digging and found this piece announcing the closure as part of ongoing road works. but you must have had the worst timing, as it was scheduled to end on Wednesday. Obviously they may have fallen behind, but we don't have any additional information for addi...
