Re: Update to road classifications in progress
Yeah, sorry about the locks. I had not seen this thread and it looked like the changes were completely random. I liked the way we had done things in the past and need to look/understand the reasoning behind the changes. NC is very unique state in its highway system (most state supported roads in the...

Re: iOS Version 3.2.1 Official Feedback Thread
I'm still not getting auto reroutes when I deviate from the recommended route. Happens 95% of the time when I deviate. The bug started with the latest betas and continues with this release.

NC-540 to Apex
Hi all, The latest leg of NC-540 from NC-55 in west Cary to US-64 in Apex opens on August 1. I have added the freeway and exit ramps as best I could given the lack of aerial detail on the southern additions. I have left NC-540 unconnected in west Cary at the completed/drive-able portion and have not...

End of Segment Junctions
I've noticed a lot of new dead end or cul-de-sac roads throughout NC are being added without end-of-segment junctions. The last I heard from Waze (a month or so ago) is that having a junction (blue dot) on the end of these segments is needed for proper routing out of the segment (routing into the se...

Locked?...
Alternatively, you can send a private message to the editor who locked the segment. If they are the area manager it might be helpful to get to know them.

Shield Generation not Working
No space, but you'll likely lose shields if you have them currently. That's why I'm waiting to change over sans space until shield generation is complete. For new edits/new interstates, you might as well go without the space as you probably won't get shields on those anyway. For naming exits and on ...

The Major/Minor Hwy confusion & Wiki
The way I look at it, the less subjective judgements we ask area managers to make then the more consistent the map becomes. So I like and support the US=major and state/business/alternate/etc.=minor designation. It is easy to see which roads need to be freeways, but as you noted it is often difficul...

Editing roads that don't exist and no one will ever drive on
Request to become an area manager for that area. Provide Waze with the GPS coordinates of the rectangle that you want to manage and you can then edit the area without driving through.

server error
I reported this to Waze via Twitter this morning and they acknowledged it. So, hopefully they are working on a fix.
