Re: Waze Northeast Meetup
By December I hope to be engaged again. Put me down as 15% likely. I don't need a place to stay.

Re: Not happy with Android version
There was a problem with the (Google) Nexus 5 where sound was glitchy, and it was solved by turning off "play sound to phone speaker" in settings->sound. Try that?

Re: Routing from VT to Syracuse, NY is not ideal.
FYI I just came down from Burlington to Albany (and Ithaca), and it tried hard to get me to go up through Canada, around the top of the lake. I had to go south down 7 and part of 22A until it admitted there was another route. There will be little or no data on delay through border checkpoints becaus...

Re: Brooklyn - need Atlantic Ave turn lane under train
I've fallen out of Waze editing (temporarily) so if the turn directions need fixing someone else will need to do it.

Re: Driveways
The house location is very close to another road without access to that road so that correct directions can be provided. This may go away once we are using entirely internal address mapping using the stop points. Not always, since this argument could be used to defend really short driveways in dens...

Re: Driveways
Driveways that are a bit long and are parallel to a public road, since Waze might think a vehicle in the driveway is on the road.
Driveways that are not roads (not named) but serve multiple residences.

Re: Naming Michigan lefts
With respect to the particular situation with a right turn followed by a u-turn, I would put in a small connector so you can have complete instructions. If I'm from out of town and I know I need to head south, I would like to hear "turn right to some road north / some road south", instead ...

Re: Solid white lines
OK this is Best Current Practice as discussed in many threads (if turn lanes are long and protected, they need special treatment for navigation). Where in the wiki? Junctions/Exits and At Grade Connectors?

Re: "Same Connections" cause routing issues?
Thanks for this thread. I'll turn on the highlighting in WME Toolbox. I won't "fix" such segments generally, but I'll be suspicious of them and add junctions when there is an inexplicable problem around them, just in case.
