Please tell me I am just missing the option to display my current speed when I am not following a route. If it's on the screen somewhere, I am just blinded to it.

If this is the current state, I'd like to see my current speed displayed at all times. Or the option to do so.

Ditto for me. Turning all but the Road layer doesn't seem to help either. I've noticed the live map hasn't updated in 7 days now too. Related perhaps?

I'm not sure how to report it, but one way to get on it yourself is to 1) become an Area Manager of the area (and even more), 2) fix the streets and intersections/nodes/junctions, 3) lock them.

I've recently tackled similar situations around my area. What I have been doing is If there is a median or barrier which makes it impossible to turn across the opposing lanes, I split it into two one-way roads. I know that I cannot expect the Live map to be updated right away, or evening within a day or two, but edits I did, and can still see in Update Map are still not reflected in the Live Map and it's been 4 days now. I have found that my edits from three days ago still haven't updated on the Live map and on the phone. It's a bit frustrating because I can't test proper routing of my edits, and I've been doing a lot.

I am not sure if it is a limitation for renaming roads, but I have selected well over 30 roads at a time to change them from one-way or no-access to 2-way with no issues. (Except for forgetting to hold down ctrl after clicking a couple dozen roads and then it deselects everything. roll:)
