This is on Interstate 59 in south west Mississippi. If they encountered Bessemer, AL in south Mississippi, there is a big map issue.

Here, the reporter receives an e-mail such as the following:
Hi REPORTERS_ID,

You received a comment on the map issue you reported, from DATE on STREET NAME, CITY.
An editor from the Waze mapping community wants to solve the problem, but needs some more information.

WAZE_EDITOR_ID on DATE TIME

I usually include the name of the destination street too, if appropriate.

I've found the reporter often doesn't recollect where they were when they filed the report, so I usually usually say something like "can you please provide more information on the 'general error' you reported on E. Main St. in Shrewsbury, MA?" If I get any response at all, it's often something like "I was heading towards my destination and it told me to take that left." Improving the quality of that initial response is paramount, because it seems that the probability of further responses decreases exponentially.

It HAS improved the Quality of the responses.

Not sure about the Quantity.

There is one area, Houston, where I only look at URs that have never been touched, over 15 days old, to give the locals a chance to handle the problems. Often, there, I do NOT get any response.

I'll do some thinking about the best way to log and accumulate that kind of data.

What do you do?

I have started saying something like this:
Many drivers assume that when they file a report it includes their destination and route information.
It doesn't.
It doesn't even tell us who filed the report.
We volunteer map editors only see where you were when you started your report and a short section of the recommended route and the driven route.
We need more information to fix your problem.
Thank you for the report and all the WAZE you help.
If no response within 7 days, this report will be closed as 'not identified'.

Which turn is not allowed?

Reporter on June 12, 2014
You must watch the one way signs. Most map apps don't know about them.

Hmm. Should I reply that the aerial imagery doesn't show them? ;)
And of course there is no streetview either :D
