You say this was about a year ago. Editable areas based on drives only stay open 90 days, after that they close again and you can no longer edit around those previous drives. So this actually sounds like a normal situation.

Re: Lost editable areas

HI Guys. I am also missing around 1200 km of newly driven roads. About a year ago I had to reinstal my cellphone and after reinstaling the Waze app, a few drives, loging in and driving some more, I noticed that I lost my entire drive to Dubrovnik in Croatia, and also a lot of roads already driven in Slovenia are missing. And there is also my trip towards Hungary that is missing as well. Now I am not able to fix issues and edit map around these lost areas.

How can I get them back? Can anyone please help?
Thak You

Same problem here. I drove this route multiple times before. Today, just drove about 250 miles today ( round trip ) and wanted to edit a segment that had a map problem. At first, I was able to click on a segment without any issues but as I was going back and forth tabs ( checking Best Map Editing Practice ) to edit this segment, I got locked out.

I got this " You cannot edit this segment. You may only edit segments in your driving area. "
:?: Oh well.

And we still wait, almost at the 3 month expiration. I have a 8hr road trip from Nov 3rd that I can not finish editing.

And still we wait... :(

Waze don't care. The three-month limit will expire and they still won't have fixed this problem...

We found the problem with missing editable areas based on driving from the beginning of November.

We started a process that uploads those areas and you should see them appearing gradually.

The process should be done in ± 10 days.

Best regards,

Yonatan

They've been sending out the exact same e-mail for weeks as a default canned response on this topic irrespective of the specific question you ask them. Not only do they have no concept of how to use basic mathematical notation correctly (how can you specify a measurement error without a measurement?) they also clearly have no idea when or probably how this problem will be fixed.

Yeah... I'm guessing we're not getting back the lost editable areas.
