Your welcome :D
All my local runways are named "Please dont waze in flight" (and locked)
Did that about a year ago when I noticed numorous GPS tracks to and from the airports

That's the part of the response I found most interesting. My editing interest is neither the points (fun, but not necessary) or at all altruistic. It's more a selfish motivation (tip of the hat to Ayn Rand). I want a GPS that is accurate and consistent and I'm willing to expend the effort to get it. If my effort benefits anyone else, so much the better.

So thank you to all of you whose efforts have made Waze better for me. :)

I'm in the same boat. I want maps to work correctly for ME. I want maps to work correctly for other users so they keep using Waze so their traffic data helps ME. So the more people I help, the better the results are for ME :D

I'm not trying to implicate anyone (I just want to see this problem fixed once and for all), but I've seen what looks to be paving by air for the last couple of months. I've deleted close to 100 of these in the north Atlanta, GA area. All of the segments were created by Haralambos(3).

I've been cleaning it up as I encounter it, but it's become an annoying waste of the time I could be using to make real map improvements.

Any ideas how to prevent the issue?

Report it to the nanorep with a permalink to an example. It has worked every time for me. :)

I agree they are annoying. With the daily updates now, some of them are showing up in the client. :(

Paving streaks are due to loss of cell-reception

Postby fzs122 » Wed Jan 30, 2013 3:29 pm

I received a reply from the nanoRep. The nanoRep said, "it's not a case of using an aircraft, but rather a loss of cell-reception." They are going to contact the user about it.
