Just to address the oldness factor on some of these. I found two errors where Waze was directing people to cut across a parking lot (purple route went all the way across). One on each side of the lot. The road was last edited in July. So either its using data that far back, or Waze is routing people through parking lot segments.

Most show WAZE routing people down single segments that terminate in a proper node.

For some strange reason, people tend to continue down the highway they were driving on, rather than turning down the dead end stub and WAZE complains about that! :)

I can't see any reason that WAZE tried to route them down the small side road, especially when it dead ends immediately.

Its often because there are no "U-Turns" nearby, and Waze wants the user to head the opposite direction, so it will route them onto the dead end street and have them u-turn there to go back the other direction.

This new error only shows us a purple route through one junction. So it shows you the turn onto the dead end, but not the second 180 degree turn at the end of the dead end.

Just like UR "wrong driving direction errors" without any text, there's never enough info. I don't know the starting point, ending point, or traffic conditions. So far, there has been absolutely no way to determine why the drivers didn't follow the waze-suggested directions.

You only need to check the marked junction to make sure the turn restrictions are set properly. I'm finding the majority have some sort of mistake.

If the junction is correct, mark it solved and move on. If the junction is wrong, fix it, mark it solved and move on.

Remember, they're only asking you to "What to do: Check whether the route is allowed", not verify if the route is correct.

Thanks, that's a better work around for this bug.

Usability Problem

This new version of the editor includes a new system generated problem report, which advises you when users are ignoring directions given to them by Waze.

The problem is the pin is placed directly on the junction, making it impossible to actually click on the junction. Even zoomed all the way in, I can't select the junction because the pin is in the way.

I have to mark the pin solved, save, reload the editor, and only then can I select the junction and make necessary changes. (Many of these junctions have the turns set correctly, but need to be QW'd and reset.)

Are the URs now represented with a 'broken image icon'? or is it just my computer playing games? :?

Force a hard refresh of the editor or clear your cache and reload. That's what fixed it for me.

the 150 edits per save thing was a waste of time. You can make the script save 150 and then 150 more. Or you can take longer to save 150 per save. One real feature would be to force newcomers to go into the "test mode" and have an approval system before editing. You know, design a 10 minutes (or so) test for new editors with a few questions to pass. CM's could help with the results. why am i writing this? well i was working on a city which took me up to 2 months to create roads and properly assign turns, etc. Turns out a newcomer (which didnt reply PM's or waze's mails) started splitting the roads, editing roundabouts until he pretty much screwed up the whole city. He took 3 days to do so (new year holidays) and it will take me 3 weeks or more to repair everything. i know that everyone is not a moron (sorry about the word), but it wouldnt be nice to lock everything either.
