Restricted zones in Tehran

Post by wujinuji
Hi All,

First time poster on these forums.

Not sure if this issue has been brought up, but in Tehran : there are 2 restrictions in order to limit the number of vehicles on the road in order to lower vehicle emissions(and hence pollution) and traffic.

1) Tarhe Terafik (Traffic plan) - :

The city center of Tehran has been fitted with camera's that record the entry and exit of all vehicles, only public transport vehicles and vehicles that purchased a pass may enter, this restriction has a time frame between 6:00 - 17:00. However, during public holidays and Fridays the restrictions are off.

2) Tarhe zoj va fard (odd and even plan) - :

In this plan, if we consider the Traffic Plan restricted zone as a core, odd and even plan area is designated on the outer core of the city center. In this scheme, vehicles with the last number being even may enter the zone on Sat,Mon,Wed. odd plates may enter the zone on Sun,Tues,Thurs. this restriction has a time frame between 7:00 - 19:00.However, during public holidays and Fridays the restrictions are off.

With the above in mind, I was wondering if there is anyway that this area's can be identified so a wazer can specify whether or not for the waze to generate a route through these zones or to generate a route that avoids these zones.

Thanks,
wujinuji

Hi wujitsu
Yes, with the waze editor is possible to insert all the limitations.
At the moment, the incomplete and inaccurate mapping of the city, de facto preventing a proper driving with the application of waze, as soon as we realize that the entire city will be completed then we will put the road restrictions.
