Cool - I think this is a brilliant idea!

One (little) suggestion: in your posts, include a permalink to Live Map for the new development, if it's on Live Map yet (I think there are some delays at the moment with updating all zoom levels of the live map. This way people can see first hand that their development is on the map and they might even start using live map for working out routes before they've installed the app.

I don't know (but there may be more-informed information about it elsewhere in another forum), however I think it's only loosely coupled with tile updates: there seems to be a bit of a delay with updates appearing, and some zoom levels take longer to update than other zoom levels (so updates can appear if you zoom to a certain level, but then vanish again if you zoom in or out).

The most unhelpful thing is that search index for the live map seems to take quite a while to update: I find that some new roads I add to the map still don't show in search results even days after they're visible (but there is a "More results..." option in the search result that *does* bring them up. Weird!).

So um... it doesn't seem to be as up to date as the app's map, and doesn't update all at once either. I guess it must be considered lower priority than the app's own map.

Livemap link, that's also an excellent idea :)

David, Livemap seems to be way behind on map updates. Never anticipated changes on it before so uncertain how it works. Is it not synced with tile updates in the app?
