Tipperary - Killenaule/Drangan Rd - Missing Segment

Postby shane_meagher » Fri Jan 18, 2019 11:07 am

Hi,

Anyone have editing privileges (I haven't driven area recently) for Killenaule-Drangan Rd, south of Killenuale:
https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lo ... ,184411664

There is a missing segment so the road doesn't join up.

Thanks,

Hi Shane, thanks for posting. In such a case you can drag one of the segments and connect them instead of adding a new one.

I've just done that and also added a few missing roads in the vicinity. The area will stay in my bookmarks as there are quite a few more roads missing from the map.

Thanks Shane, thanks Yanis,

If possible, please name roads as you go along. There's a (draft) guide to naming roads (and everything else) here.

For small rural roads, unless the road has no other name, then we name it after the townland it passes through. If it has a number (like L4321), then that goes at the start.

I have to admit I'm guilty of creating roads with the intention of coming back later and naming them, but sometimes a long time passes before I get around to it. At least a road with no name is better than no road at all, because that means Waze can use it for routing.
