Re-route when time restrictions are lifted?
Hello.
Can someone please advise if I would be re-routed to a shorter (or faster) route if a time-restricted turn at an intersection on my current path is lifted? Or is this already allowed-for when my trip is planned?
My example scenario:
Thank you.
Can someone please advise if I would be re-routed to a shorter (or faster) route if a time-restricted turn at an intersection on my current path is lifted? Or is this already allowed-for when my trip is planned?
My example scenario:
- 1pm - leave work for home. Trip time is 30 minutes. ETA home will be 1:30pm.
- At 1:10pm, a right-turn restriction is automatically lifted at an intersection on my current path. I'm due to arrive at this intersection at 1:15pm. Taking this right-turn gets me home 10 minutes sooner.
- calculate a route that accounts for this lifted (and available right-turn) when I create my trip at 1pm.
- a longer route is calculated at 1pm, but is then recalculated at 1:10pm and I'm presented instead with a new, shorter (or faster) route to home.
- only calculate the trip based on an initial reading of time-restricted turns. Which means at 1:15pm I arrive at this intersection and am directed straight-through.
Thank you.
