livemap display Miles, but my Settings are Metric

Hi,

I used the livemap fro mthe website. Put two addresses, and the result shows Miles, rather than Kilometers... I checked my Settings, and right next to World, it says Metric, so I expected Kilometers on my results.

I have a similar issue, except I keep getting metric instead of imperial.

I have the same problem. I am logged in with a metric setting.

However, I only view the live map from work, where I am logged in from Canada, but through a VPN that is in the USA. I wonder if the location of IP determines the default settings. It shouldn't, but looks like it might.
