Here is some good press from Om Malik on the relationship between Waze and ABC7 in L.A. How about a Denver station next? :D

Yea, along with the faulty traffic data for everyone stopped at their local gas station, drive through, etc. with Waze running...
If those venues were mapped properly, it wouldn't give the faulty traffic data ;-).

EDIT: I hope the servers can cope with the extra users it will definitely generate!

So the LA news is actually calling out 'Car Stopped on the Shoulder' road reports from Waze on their broadcast? Lovely...

The exposure for Waze is great though. If it brings in more users and better traffic data, great!

Maybe Waze is working on getting some press coverage for the January 2012 Wazer meetup in Palo Alto? I am sure some of the attendees would be happy to be interviewed regarding contributing to Waze. Seems likely that the top World-Wide Wazer (highest number of points, 'highest contributor' - although not by much since asterix06 is within 10,000 points at the moment) Mapcat will be ready to provide interviews !
