That's great. It would be helpful if there was some method set up where the community can request Waze to make roads no-navigable for certain events like this. Waze can have the final say so on whether to do it or not. Obviously Waze can't be bothered with every small event.Unholy wrote:Hi,

The short and simple answer is: yes we can!
The longer one:
We have a method in place that allows us to set segments as non-navigable in the system for a specific time frame.
The process that uses this method is being tested right now, so it is monitored closely whenever we use it, to make sure it blocks the segments properly, and navigation around them is not adversely affected.
We have used various versions of this process in cases like the 405 "Carmageddon" in LA.
So we may use it again, but as it is being tested, it is used only for road closures that we decide are appropriate to test with.
