Question on Favorite route

how long does it take for Waze to recognize a favorite route? I have been wazing for a couple of months now.. I've logged just under 2,000 miles, and each morning I select a route, which is not my favorite route, but then drive my normal route.. same thing each evening going home.. and yet it never offers me my favorite route, but of course, says to simply drive and it will learn my favorite..

is this a feature that actually works for people?

I never actually set a route and just drove around, and now it actually pops up and offers to take me home every time I start up waze unless i supress it.
