What does Waze store on my iPad?

Post by ManilaRoadRage
Today I noticed that the Waze app consumes more storage than any other app on my iPad (more than 3GB!) Can you tell me what exactly it is storing? I don't edit any maps (yet), but I do have it set to show an unlimited event radius. Could that be it? I'm still learning the settings, but how do I specify how much data to store? Thanks.

By the way, I know this is not a bug report. I just didn't know where to post this question. Apologies.

Apps like DiskAid are not available in the App Store. 'Cuz Apple sez no.

I'll just delete and reinstall the app. I'm sure that will help.

I would not be surprised if some logfiles had accumulated in a directory that is dedicated for data that needs backup. Did you try uninstalling and then reinstalling? Reinstalling is a breeze, after logging in with your wazeaccount you will be offered to restore your favorites and you are back in business in no time.

No. We are all - invisibly - chained to Apple HQ.

Yep, but I don't think you will find that in the AppStore (anymore).

Hehe - OSX now has a meticulous maintained AppStore as well... without iExplorer.

I don't see an option to clear my map cache anywhere in settings. I did reduce the event radius, but it didn't change anything in the storage.

I'll just delete and reinstall the app. I'm sure that will help.

Waze stores maps. Try clearing your map cache from the settings menu, to see if that helps.
