There are some users in my city, that are just messing up with the maps, creating speed cameras where there is none!

How do I stop them?

My user can't remove the wrong speed cameras added by this users and the street is not locked.

Can anyone give my a tip to treat this?

Best regards!

You can try to send them PM (Private Message) on the forum, but in general, cameras are added to the map in all countries all over the place, where there are none. Until someone approves them in the editor, though, they will not appear in the app. If there are approved cameras where you know for certain none exist, and you are not able to delete them, you may need to contact your country manager or contact Waze directly using the Quick Help forum on the /Support page.

This is police (speed trap). In most places, it is required to be operated by a police officer and are rarely an automated machine with no one there. Police is the proper tag for mobile speed cameras. (This has been discussed MANY times in the forums.)

We may, in the future, get an option under Police for speed camera.

What is a mobile red light camera? Do you mean a mobile speed camera? I see them alot near schools and work areas.

I'd like to see a mobile speed camera option. Sometimes the mobile speed camera is there, sometimes its not. So add that icon and allow people to remove it if it's no longer there. I have me using the hidden police icon instead so people can remove it if needed.

Huh? I guess it depends on what you mean by hidden. But, there are plenty of cameras around here without warning signs.

The speed cameras are already approved and I guess some users are creating these "errors" for later earning points with the "corrections"!
I'm really working hard trying to improve the map of my city, but, this things keep putting me down!
I'll report this to Waze.

They can only be reported from the client, so this person is going to a lot of trouble for a few points.

Post permalinks to the cameras and someone with access will remove them for you. If there are actual cameras nearby, let us know where so we can leave those alone.

If you don't have cameras in your area, just give a wide permalink and we'll get rid of all of them.

There is no place in the U.S. where speed or red light cameras are hidden. They also have to have a sign up showing the location of the camera.

Mobile red light cameras aren't posted on the Waze maps as cameras. But they can be reported as a speed trap as they are temporary in nature.

There's an entire Wiki page that outlines (with pictures) every detail about speed and red light cameras and how to handle them.
