FYI, it was me. In a PM. And we're still PMing about it. The issue is over repeated marking URs solved with no edits being done. I did call him a points whore. A little overkill? Perhaps. We're also discussing the locking system and the changes which came to us this year. BroJames does some editing, but doesn't, as many editors do not, pay regular attention to what's going on with editing guidelines changes like some of us fanatics do here in the forums.

Navigation Tool or Game

Postby BroJames » Wed Oct 10, 2012 6:38 pm

Is this a navigation tool or a game?
I got an e-mail from the leader in my state yesterday calling me a "point whore." All I try to do is edit the maps so that they work the way they should. It has become frustrating because some of the editors have locked the roads they've edited, and some of the editing is incomplete, and apparently they don't think there would ever be improvements to the existing roads.
I starting using the app because I don't want to pay outrageous prices for a good navigation system, but if this is just a game to some people I'll go that route. The points have made it kind of fun, but it seems to have become a higher priority for some, than making a SAFE navigation tool we can all enjoy, for an awesome price.

It is whatever you want it to be. If you are genuinely adding value to the map and don't care about points then I wouldn't worry about what others have to say about it.

You say tomato, I say tomato.
