I am wondering if there are any plans on developing WAZE on windows 8 mobile platforms. I am switching to the new Nokia 920 and would love to have WAZE on it as I use it all the time and really love the program.

There is an Official Android Port for BB10 - see: http://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=43380

That could be the number that have shipped into the channel vs. the number in the hands of the end-users.

I have seen a total of 1 Windows Phone device in the hands of a user, ever. This was a consultant for a Microsoft Business Partner. Yes, this is not a scientific study but I am just not seeing these phones in peoples hands.
In my friends "zone" and "work" zone, some of iPhone addicts migrated with me to Windows Phone.
YES, the number may be low for the moment, but as most of them were "Apple addict" previously, I hope it'll rock for this great (IMHO) product.

But I understand "you", ie Waze, if you don't want to migrate to WP7/8 ... but I hope you'll ;)

Abour bluestacks.com, it's not for Windows Phone, only for Windows on PC and Mac.

About Windows Phone users ... it's growing, see http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/microsofts ... 2-01-2013/ ...

*cross his fingers* ;)

Wp8 no longer requires Silverlight (an unfortunate reality for wp7 though.) WP8 supports C and C++, so if an app is developed for both Android and iOS, it really should be a pretty straightforward port. I'm hoping Microsoft is sweetening the deal for waze. Having been a fan of Waze for years, and having met some of the leadership team, I really hope they'll support wp8 soon! LA traffic is too bad to live without it. It helped me save 15-20 mins every day, which is more time to spend with my baby girl. Do you really want to have that "blood" on your hands, Waze? ;)

If you can do a wireless hotspot on your mobile device, I guess you can always buy a cheap Android based phone for under $50 (like used Galaxy SII or something) and run Waze tethered. I plan to use my old phones soon to run Waze and other apps strictly.
