And aside: CA17 doesn't meet the guidelines for splitting around this area.

Due to a number of accidents at this intersection, some fatal, Cal-Trans eliminated turns from this intersection about a year ago. There are now barricades blocking any turns.

This is the last error on my route on CA-17. I see others have reported this same issue on this part of CA-17.

The entire area I'm showing is where the problems are occuring. South Hwy 9 to Graham Hill Rd. to Mount Hermon Rd. to North Hwy 17. Every road I approach on this section instructs me to turn. Even roads that are not through.

I have been driving in this area for approximately three months with no problems. What could have happened to start the problems? Was there an update to the software for that area? If so could it be reversed?

Here is a link of my morning route.

Waze is trying to send me onto every road I am approaching. It then has me travel that road for some distance then return me to my original route. I know these roads very well, so I am not taking the suggested turns. However, if I were traveling to a new area this would be a huge problem. There a numerous difficult roads in this area.

The errors have been occuring since 12/10/12. To and from work. I travel from Santa Cruz County, CA to Santa Clara County.
It is worse when I'm traveling from the Santa Cruz County Hwy 9 area.

WAZE direction errors

Postby mtnflyr » Thu Dec 13, 2012 8:19 pm

Hi all. I've been using WAZE for a few months and enjoying the service. Suddenly this past Monday, 12/10/12, the navigation has gone crazy on me. On the way to work WAZE tries to send me down every street I come to. Has anyone experiences anything like this? Anyone know how to correct this problem?

Thanks in advance.
