Waze can't connect to mobile data

Since a few weeks ago I went from an old 3gs running various iOS's to a samsung nexus i9250gt.
While being on the old 3GS and navigating with waze around the country I never had problems for waze to connect to my mobile data and send up data to edit later. Since I'm using my new phone the nexus while I'm on road Waze never connects to my mobile data be that on 3G or 2G. All other applications like ymail, gmail, facebook have no trouble to get data trough mobile internet only waze has. Tried to reinstall the software but same thing happened, also while I'm on mobile I can't sign up my waze user but have no problem doing that on wifi.

Any idea how to fix this?

Check internet settings on your phone... same happened to me - new phone with all apps connecting with no problem, except Waze.
Default APN (access point name) was set to wap instead of 3g. If you are unable to set this correctly, ask your carrier for help.

For some reason on my phone it was also set to wap, no idea why. I set to internet instead and it was good to go.
