Can't Connect to GPS

Hi

I have an AT&T Tilt 2 with Stock ROM... Installed version 1.8 Waze. I can not get a GPS connection to the internal GPS. Bing and Google Maps works fine so I know the GPS is working. For some reason Waze will not connect to my internal GPS. The Auto search seems to just go through all the com ports but not the internal GPS driver..

Any Ideas

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Waze twice with same results :D

Hi Krankyd

Thanks for the quick reply...after messing around with the phone a little bit more last night I was able to get it to connect...

On the phone there is a configuration for External GPS.. The setting for GPS program port was set to none. (Not sure if this is default) I set it to COM0 and Waze was able to find the GPS on COM0. If I set it to anything else Waze was unable to find the GPS..

hi, if you know which COM port the internal GPS antenna is using, you can configure it manually.
You need to access the waze folder from your computer, download a file called preferences and edit it.
Then look for this entry:
GPS.Source: COM4:

(change the digit "4" as needed). The ":" is required at the end.
Make sure not to change the name of the file - it has to remain preferences
