Odd routing onto/off of roundabout A57/M602 (W)

Hi, driving through Manchester yesterday from the A57 to M602, and directions wanted to send me off onto the roundabout and back on again at this junction

https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&l ... TTTTTTTTFT

The road actually goes straight through the middle of this roundabout, so the off/on is unnecessary.

I'm unsure if some local knowledge (I'm not from these parts) means that it might be quicker to go onto roundabout and off again, but GPS traces look like most folks go straight through. There is 2 sets of traffic lights, and potentially more slower moving traffic when heading straight on.

I don't see how you go about prodding routing information on the map editor, and the map itself looks fine.

It's a common problem, that seems to be happening more and more. As you say, there's nothing wrong with the map, yet the Waze route goes off-and-on again. The route in the Livemap doesn't do this.

I've made a few tweaks, but I don't there's anything we can do to fix this.

Incidentally, should this junction give proper roundabout instructions? At the moment it does not.

See this thread.

Routing servers have been giving bad routes for a couple of weeks now (especially for stops). I get a bad route every morning for my commute at the moment.

So there is probably nothing wrong with the map.
