Friend missing from my list

Is anyone else experiencing problems with adding new friends? My boyfriend recently connected his Waze to Facebook, and now I show up as his friends.
It's been 3 days since I became his friend, but for some reason, he has not appeared on my friend's list yet. I've tried disconnecting my account from Facebok and reconnecting it, which obviously didn't work.

I'm new with Waze. So bare with me. I did connect my Waze with my Facebook and did look in to the settings in Facebook (after reading this thread) for my settings but the setting is set to my friends. When I try to connect Waze on my phone it justs pops a windows saying connecting and it can stay like that for an hour ( I really let it like that for an hour) and nothing happens. I m using a Galaxy S3 with the latest OTA update. No hacking or roms with the 3.6 Waze app.
Any Idea?
Oh one more thing how can you answer a message from a user on my phone?
Edit: Ok I uninstalled the Waze app then reinstalled it. When it came up to connection I clicked the facebook icon not the user a made myself. Then it connected and got my fellow friends on my waze app to show up.

I have a similar problem. Both my wife and I have Facebook and both have Waze, yet, we are not Waze friends. She is on iPhone, I am on Android. Both selected "Close friends and family", but have not enabled "Traffic/road reports" or "Driver summaries". Do any of this should make a difference?

Yes i've noticed a similar problem. My brother is on my facebook friends list yet doesn't appear on my Waze friends list. I'm sure he used to, because I used to compare stats. He's on android and i'm on Iphone. Whether or not that makes a difference, I don't know.

I had a similar problem a while ago, and solved it by checking my Facebook privacy preferences. It was set to not allow Waze access to my friend's list, so while my FB friends could see me, I couldn't see them. As soon as I allowed access to the friends list, they all popped up in Waze.
