Waze forum

Wouldn't it be cool if Waze could use historical data related to the most common traffic points along your route to extrapolate a best time of departure. I imagine Waze could actually influence the departure time of it's users and thus reduce traffic...even by a small percent. Further still, imagine if Waze could lobby the highway authority to give reduced tolls to those Wazers that departed at prescribed times (as a means to reduce stress on support systems and therefore reduce expenses)? How about Lobbying the tax authorities to provide tax breaks to large employers that allowed its Wazer employees to arrive at even slightly earlier/later times?

The Android widget comes pretty close to doing this.
