Don't know how I feel about this yet. If my Waze gets more "googlized" then I won't be happy.

Shoot, maybe now Google can use its vast resources to give us a tablet editor...

Congratulations to all of you, especially you Ehud. It must be incredibly rewarding to see your idea grow from startup to this point. I can only imagine. I guess the champagne has popped in Israel!

For us users-editors I guess it was inevitable. I prefer Google over Facebook like many others here. Nobody can blame you for cashing in on the right moment. I hope the fun stays for us or even grows, under that big Google umbrella.

Like the others I'm very curious what this all will bring, from the positive and negative side. Future will tell, I just hope you'll keep us informed.

Dear waze team,

I was really afraid about that news, because if someone have no need about waze to do Waze, it is Google. They have the map, the have community, they have social network, they have advertising, and all the rest.

But. You always made good choice. That's why I choose to continue this amazing adventure with you.
You always been confident.

Congratulation to you. We're now waiting for the Champagne Shower.
Cheers

What makes Waze great is its community.

Google is a wealthy man who took the woman with the children she got from a previous marriage. I hope he's not interested in just banging her and leaving the children behind.

The motivation of editors is about being part of a project aiming at making everyone's life easier and if brilliant entrepreneurs who had the original idea could monetize it, good for them.

No closed system. No censorship. Don't bleed Waze and toss away the empty shell once we'll have crossed the 3 years limit.
