 Let the affected users decide, i.e. don't domineer over the german users!

this is as if car manufacturers would decide to limit all cars top speeds to 130km/h because except Germany there is no country in Europe where it is allowed to drive faster

why not making it the same way TomTom does:
put a button in the options of the App to activate/deactivate the speed cameras and let the users decide themselves if they want to use it or not - it is their money if police catches them ;-)

cheers
Gerald

If you read it even closer this Article is only about DEVICES which are made for: showing or disturbing traffic control. No word about Navigation Systems or even Software.

And still no answers from waze... To keep quiet won't solve the problems you have with your community. Don't you need your community?

I think it's time for Feedback from WAZE, isn't it so Shirli?

One of the most common criticism from wazers is the non or poor information policy driven by WAZE!
So again it's time to start a discussion but only between WAZE and the involved countries!

Regards from a Guy comming from the country between Germany and Switzerland and who is concerned about the way how WAZE handle this and other matters,
Stefan

I will stop using waze If it stays that way !

That means if you shut down speed Cam service the user Brillo will not longer use WAZE!

I have often read such wording in the forum. So please come up with a solution now so that the community can cool of. We have all worked hard and spend a lot of volunteer hours to improve WAZE. But you have to help us here. Such actions are counterproductive and causes users to start thinking about if it is not a waste of time!

Thanks, Stefan

How many posts do we have to write until you revoke the decision?
It's not okay to let the community do all the work and than delete this function without any discussion :( .
.... and how will you establish trust when you do not even respond

I think the arguments are well exchanged in this thread.

I, too, am deeply disappointed about the way Waze took this decision without prior interaction with their community.

It would be nice to reflect this decision in the app. I can only fancy how many users in Germany (and the other involved countries) are still entering cameras in the app, and wondering why they don't show up in the editor.

Countless uninformed noobs out there. I don't care about speedcams anymore, the function is illegal and there is no need to discuss anything or interact in any way with the community about this. If they decide this it is to protect their product, and at least you all as users!

Can someone please close this weenie Thread here?

If there is any solution, then waze will announce this. So please stop discussing another 20 sites about the same dumb arguments over and over again!

Yes in my country there are no speedcams anymore, so what and who cares?

Cheers
