Tiles Build delay in NA & INTL
Hi Wazers,

The NA and INTL tile updates are delayed due to a database problem.

We are working on it and will update once we resume our usual daily tiles update routine.

Map tiles in the International server have been updated with map edits up to : June, 10 2013 17:43 UTC

Well at least its progress still along way behind but its an official announcement that there finally updated till the 10th i will be keeping fingers crossed (cant wait to see something other then a blank screen when im driving around town)

If you read further into the status blog you'll also see that sh^Wissues do happen, and there was a rollback, and we're not on a special case where there was indeed an update with data from the 10th, but due to the rollback there are stuff that looks from before (*1), or there may even be stuff really from before, but this usually gets all sorted out with the update after that. So personally I'm more keep on the next update for the cleanup of the mess than the point if it's daily or weekly.

When things are going smoothly and the updates are lacking, then we should complain. But right now, with a major rollback issue, the google stuff, and the other stuff that has been happening around, it's expected to have longer update cycles. And it's Thursday, we surely won't get another one before Sunday.


*1: an example: I have some segments that were minor and I've changed them to major. If I look at the now, on the map image tiles they are still minor, but in reality they are rightly major on the DB. I can see it because if I change them to major (what they are), the tiles are not updated, but if I change them to something else then back to major then they get updated on the editor. But if I don't do anything, they'll also become correct on the next update.

There have been periods of time where us NA editors were jealous of regular weekly updates on the INTL server while we went multiple weeks or even MONTHS between updates here ;)

There was a Post reflecting your update on http://status.waze.com/. If you take a look you'll see it's no longer there.

That's not the point, however.

The INTL Server has not been updated since 2 June (or, even, 10 June). That was 18 (or 10) days ago.

This makes editing extremely difficult / frustrating and is leaving a number of us feeling somewhat disenfranchised - you know just how addictive Waze editing is, we need our fix!

Watching the US Editor on http://status.waze.com/ enjoy (near) daily updates, with little communication re the INTL Editor, drives a degree of jelousy too. We want what they've got!

All we're asking for is a new update, towards resolution and our fix!

There was an update effective 10 June but it was taken down. Silence is killing me! Come on Waze / Google!!!

The Waze Status page is where i have gotten my information from (forgive me for not being a twitter user as i see there post dated there is June 16)

Seems someone forgot to put it on Wazes status page as well.

Still would like to know if we could get an update (as this was intended to not to provoke any hassles)

Due to a problem in tile deployment today, we reverted the ROW tiles back to June, 2 2013 09:41 UTC.

We will update the tiles as soon as possible.

next update is on the June 14, 2013. "INTL server – tiles update delay" "nothing mentioned about it being changed from tiles or the 2nd to the 10th"

Then nothing else after that ( so 18 days is the best part of a month)

sorry for making a fuss but it seems along time (and would have though that being that far behind there would be a few more updates letting the keeping the community informed that the issue is being assessed and has become a priority seeming as the "unusual" length of time taken to update.
