I think the closures are worth having though. It's a real pain when you get caught up in them.

Really we need Waze to work with NZTA and get a real time feed linked up. Perhaps Intelematics will up their game and make it happen one day..

They are making slow progress on this work but the speed limit has been lifted on parts of SH16 North Western Motorway.

SH16 westbound has changed from 80 to 100km/h from mid way between Great North Road on ramp and Rosebank Road off ramp. Segment ID: 309177350 and the road to the west is now 100km/h

Also when heading East, the 80km/h limit has been lifted and the 100 to 80 speed change now starts mid way between Rosebank Road on ramp and Great North Road off ramp. Around about the middle of segment ID: 58487266

SH16 Exit 18 Royal Road West bound off ramp begins 250 meters earlier than the old one did since 1st Feb.

Can one of the senior people have a look at this for me.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi

Can you update the speed limit on SH16 please, it's still showing 100 around Newton Road when it's been lowered to 80. The existing 80<->100 change in the West around Rosebank road is correct but it's now 80 between Rosebank and Spaghetti junction:

"On the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) the new maximum speed limit of 80km/h will apply between the Central Motorway Junction and the Rosebank Road area."

Ref: https://www.nzta.govt.nz/media-releases ... onnection/

Keep up the good work!

Also SH16 Westbound from Lincoln Road to just before Westgate is 80km/h for a couple of years during the road works. These IDs match the speed limit sections pretty well.

I agree (we could go shorter, but that would be more complexity for no value).

Any chance, as it happens, of anyone looking at SH1 / Sothern Motorway South of the Takanini junction? Part of it has been 80 kmph since March, and even more is going to be 80 kmph until some time in 2017. The NZTA press release has details at <https://www.nzta.govt.nz/media-releases ... ge-on-sh1/>.

As for the topic of motorway closures, I'd personally rather scheduled closures are loaded even if they don't happen; as they generally do happen. NZTA does publish a press release every friday and there are quite a few closures - the most recent one is <https://www.nzta.govt.nz/media-releases ... -23-april/>, so manually feeding this in each week could be quite an effort? I don't really know. I have seen some automated feeds of closure information though.

Speaking of NW Motorway / SH 16 closures, can a L4 editor or above load the closure of the citybound / eastbound / loop road on-ramp on SH16 at Gt North Road this weekend?

This one's major enough that I expect we'll get reports of general map errors if we don't do something ahead of time! (It's big enough that NZTA made an explicit press release at <<https://www.nzta.govt.nz/media-releases ... p-closure/>>.)

"[NZTA] is advising ... the east bound, loop road on-ramp will be closed from 10pm Friday 29 April to 5am Monday 2 May, to allow the work to be carried out.
