Hi,
Napier airport has a new entrance and the old one is blocked off. Can someone please (L2+) please mark these as permanent road closures?
Thanks,
Peter.

Subject: Sanson Speed Cameras

Postby RosscoMail » Sat Sep 01, 2018 10:06 am

Hi,

Level 2 Editor Here.

The speed cameras located in this permalink do not exist anymore and need a level 5 to remove them:
https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon=175.42000&lat=-40.21756&s=104856853&zoom=8&cameras=159547

I've driven past them and can confirm they're gone now. Here's the link to a reference to source data showing they've also been removed as the don't exist in the NZ police list: http://www.police.govt.nz/sites/default/files/publications/scep-all-sites-location-and-gps-co-ordinates.pdf

Thanks for your help on this one.

Hi,

The Drive, Epsom, Auckland is closed - Waze knows - but Waze has the closures the wrong way around! The Drive is completely open to southbound traffic (I checked - I drove it this evening) but is partially closed to NORTHBOUND traffic. However, checking in the editor, it has closures from "A" to "B", where "A" is the north end, and "B" the south end.

In my own personal experience, it's a pain being sent down a closed road every morning and there's at least one other user issue at <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.76883&lat=-36.89732&layers=2853&zoom=6&mapUpdateRequest=6092063&mapProblemFilter=0&mapUpdateRequestFilter=0&venueFilter=1&problemsFilter=false&update_requestsFilter=false>> about it

Could someone that has access to the closure screen please update it? Not sure what level editor is required, but level one isn't enough!

As at 31/3/16, in reality (after driving it myself home):

* The Drive is open entirely for SOUTHBOUND (ONEHUNGA BOUND) traffic, and always has been.
* The Drive is closed for NORTHBOUND (CITYBOUND) traffic between RANGIATEA RD and EMPIRE RD. However, what portions are closed for northbound traffic has changed over time, so we may need to update this again.
* I think according <https://at.govt.nz/projects-roadworks/road-works-disruptions/>, this may continue until 15/5/16.

* Segments that should be open to SOUTHBOUND are (I think) <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.77076&lat=-36.90149&layers=2853&zoom=5&segments=101522880,100853873,145982862,145982863,101522940&mapProblemFilter=0&mapUpdateRequestFilter=0&venueFilter=1&problemsFilter=false&update_requestsFilter=false>>. (These are the ones with the wrong way closure entered against them)

* Segments that should be closed to NORTHBOUND are (I think) <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.77111&lat=-36.89692&layers=2853&zoom=5&segments=84321366,105274573,101522937,101522940&mapProblemFilter=0&mapUpdateRequestFilter=0&venueFilter=1&problemsFilter=false&update_requestsFilter=false>>

* I think I've got this all right, but if not, I apologise! :-)

If someone could do this, I would greatly appreciate it. It will make my drive to work a lot more pleasant! (And is this the easiest way to get this fixed, or should I post a new thread in the future?)

Looks like I need to be level 2 or above to put closures in via the editor, I'm afraid (I can't add or edit a closure except in practice mode; although in practice mode, I can see level 2 editors have edited closures.) I'll keep doing edits until I get to that level -- in the meantime, I've added restrictions on The Drive instead, which should hopefully steer people away from it, and will flag things in the app if I'm in the area tomorrow morning. I'm happy enough to look after it since it's on my commute! :)

Thanks for your help though!

AUckland - SH18 motorway speed limits near Albany Highway (L

Postby SMLol379 » Wed Apr 20, 2016 12:56 am

Segment: <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.71323&lat=-36.75527&layers=2533&zoom=4&segments=164249325>>

This westbound segment needs dividing just on the east side of the Albany Hwy bridge. The portion west should be 100 kmph, the portion east should be 80 kmph. (It's locked level 4 and I'm only level 2.) You can see the speed limit sign in street view if you want to check.

As per the update request, ".. the switch on the other side from 80 to 100 is also too early (heading southwest). This happens as you pass under the bridge not near the petrol station."

Link to the UR: <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.72315&lat=-36.75158&layers=2533&zoom=5&mapUpdateRequest=6171963>>. (NB: I've already fixed the eastern end - just waiting on the map tile update for that.)

Could an L4 either do this edit, or unlock it to L2 so I can?

(2nd question, should this be done in this thread or should I make a new top-level thread for this?)

If its just an unlock, do it here

If you have questions about an unlock start a new thread

or what ever...............:)

Cool - will keep in mind! And speaking of, I've finished editing SH18 near Albany Highway.

Yep, I know. I didn't split this north/south (that was done long before my time), my edits were east/west and pretty simple at that. However, it is the Upper Harbour Motorway we're talking about, and motorways seem generally structured as full divided carriageways.

However, the speed limits are only asymetical for about ten meters in reality - I actually need to fix the northern segment (eastbound) at <<https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=row&lon=174.70526&lat=-36.75675&layers=3044&zoom=6&segments=58966738>> as well (I need to repeat the same as I did on the westbound segment, albiet with the dividing point just west side of the bridge.) Can this segment be unlocked as well?
