Sorry to butt in here, but in the US, sometimes the conversations are so numerous that conversations are really hard to follow. We did, of course, warn the devs about this early on in testing, stating that busy communities will need more options for rooms by state and private chats which don't spam everyone. Those future features are planned.

Hopefully, it may just be that your community of editors just isn't used to it yet.

WME Chat

Postby amartinnz » Thu Jan 16, 2014 9:44 pm

Does anyone use the WME chat?

I often see other editors in there, but no one ever replies to any message I send, so I wonder whether it is working?

For example, ispyisail you were working in Napier this morning, so I sent you a message or two, but got no response?

There are so few editors in NZ that sometimes we might see another editor online. That why we weren't sure it was working.

I'm not sure how it got out of beta though

I've tried it, and it works, however it appears to still be in the early stages of development (by my opinion).
If the user has the chat window minimized, it doesn't flash or open up to let you know there is a message. It has to be open for you to view.
