This form has a field "time zone -- pick from list". But there is no list to pick from.

I just typed in EDT. I hope that is OK.

Does this mean we should update the advice in
https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Road_names/U ... osed_roads
to do short- and medium-term road closures this way instead of relying on wazers driving by daily or changing the road's name?

I see you have changed the date format allowed on the form; please change the explanation of the required data format.

Also -- can this form be used for time restricted closures -- "Closed from 9 AM to 3 PM, M-F, from September 15 through October 3" for example?

Thanks. And time-restricted closures such as: 0900 - 1500, M-F, from Sept 15 to October 3?

Thanks for being specific.

This sounds like fun. I'll do it, for a 5-day closure, and I am sure the waze team will begin to imagine how they can make their lives easier by enhancing this closure interface.

Not gonna do it for a 2-week closure.

I had a nice chat with PesachZ about the work/benefit involved in doing a closure this way.
I did the 5-day closure this way, but spared him the 2-month once-a-day closure!

I am looking forward to the Waze team eventually releasing another way to make closures more visible on the map.

Tnanks!

I know this is a completely manual process on the part of the champs involved.
What kind of turn-around time should we expect?

If I find out today that a major ramp is already closed for reconstruction for 2 months, should I also seek another way to restrict waze routing over that ramp for, say, a week?

Since I can't edit ramps, that means also using the unlock board to place a request, which is more work for "somebody", which is why I ask.

I think the route I'll take, if "immediate would be good" is to PM the SM just after I fill out the form.
I had a case where I received confirmation of upload until a week after the closure was over.
So it is confusing; I don't know what to expect.

I think that, if I send a batch of DELDOT or PENNDOT closures ever again, I might like to be able to see what is in the sheet, so I can have a way to track what I have entered and whether I have entered the "new" one or not.

Thanks.

What is the correct procedure when closures are submitted, but do not get added to the map after 10 days or a week?

There are several yellow lines in several regions, for closures that have now begun and will still run for a week or several months longer.

Is this spreadsheet too cumbersome for the champs who are forced to use it? Can I help with a little bit of redesign?

Tonester -- you still use the sheet-based closures rather than WME closures? Does this turn out to be more efficient for you?
