Agreed. I'll keep them as you suggested. Again, we'll wait for you before we do any changes.
Keep in mind current Brooklyn Ave names use Ave and not Avenue. Furthermore, I believe street signs say Ave not Avenue. Why fix it if it Ain't broke? My vote is to leave Ave as is and just deal with the s.

CH-EA in Kenosha county, WI is being pronounced as "County Highway ee-yah." It should be the two letters spoken separately.

Est is east in Quebec. It's grating to hear Waze say "estate" all the time.

Also, along with Saint, there is also Sainte for the feminine. Normally abbreviated St and Ste without periods.

And I think the period after the single letter indicating that it should be the letter is confusing. Plenty of signs out there that use N. to mean North and S. to mean South etc.

BTW, maybe we should find out how these are handled:
So. (South)
No. (North)

Here is another non-standard item to add... the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is in my back yard and most/all signs use the form "Smoky Mts" which I can tell you TTS right now says as "Smoky emm tee ess".

I forgot to give my thanks :)

And Jenni reminds me of something I experienced in Chattanooga recently. Had a few ramps named "to I -24". The space was BEFORE the dash instead of after as was the old standard. So TTS said "turn right at eye negative twenty four"

There have been situations were Waze has cached the TTS audio files for frequently used streets/ramps. Users had to manually delete these files to get the effects of new TTS rules. I don't remember the details, but just wanted to point that out if you see slightly different pronunciation in different cases. It could be the case or it could be cached data.
