Odd Routing/ETAs this AM

Post by mswhite60
Not sure what caused this. My normal drive takes about 1:40 from where this screen shot was taken (following route 1). More alarming is the timing on route 2! I cannot imagine what would cause 120 miles to take over 6 hours. I called people that drive both of these areas and no one was aware of crazy traffic issues.

For my drive, as I continued down the road Waze updated the ETA (down) about every 5 minutes, and my drive time ended up being what I would normally expect.

I just requested a route back the other way, using LIVE MAP. The problem shows up there as well, In this case Route 2 is my normal drive, and takes about 2H 10M normally. Again - looks like an issue on the server side.

Definitely not a good day for routing here in the UK. Halfway through my drive to work with around 15 minutes of real travelling left to go, the route info on the map screen was indicating an ETA almost an hour away, and with a remaining distance longer than the distance to go at the start of the journey. When I opened the routes screen however, all the suggested routes on there had the correct ETAs/distances, and after selecting the route I was on, the ETA/distance shown on the map screen remained correct for the remainder of the journey.

I also noticed several attempts to route me completely around-the-houses, including the client twice expecting me to leave the motorway at the next junction, turn back onto the opposite carriageway and drive back to the previous junction, to then turn back onto the carriagway I was already on in order to then drive past the next junction and continue as normal
